About poodle in black coat

In the three basic colors, black, white and brown, black coat is the most important coat color of the three.

The pass generations of black poodles can keep the back color of hair till them reach a year old, and the color will start to fade when they are two and half to three years old. Some black poodles will turn to dim black. Those poodles’ bloodlines might have mixed with other colors of poodles. Because of the mixture and gene different, the color fading level can be quite different. 

Once black poodles’ color faded, the coat color somehow can turn to brownish to reddish even can become a bit blue, but they all black after all don’t mixed up with other colors of poodles!

Majority of black poodles will go through color fading or have some white hairs when they grow older. That said, the rest black poodles that can keep their beautiful black at all time are the most ideal black poodles.
