★3-6 months old is the best to train your puppy★
educate/train the puppy earlier than 6 months old wouldn’t benefit toward neither of you

【instruction】

The best period of time to train your dog when it’s 3-6 months old. During the right period of time you even can ask them to learn any other movements, likes shaking hands, standing up and kissing.

Once you start to train your puppy, you can use a collar or a belt to assist the training as tools. Because the belt can help the owner to control the puppy movement, until the owner can 100% deliver the order message toward the puppy.


How to send your order to the puppy?

You can either choose to use your hands or arms to send the signal.   

However, normally we would use some sounds to transfer the order, as sounds can be delivered with much winder range and dogs can be sensitive with a sound.

On the other hand, when your dog makes a mistake you can correct him/her straight away by raising your voice. This action would remind the dog that he/she is doing something inadequate.
【Train to have a good manner】

If you are having a dog at home, you will have to train your dog in order to keep yourself having a clean and hygienic environment.，
As dogs pee very often, so training them to have a good manner is a priority.  

But, if they didn’t go to the right place to poo/pee please do not punish them especially not put their face to their excretion. This act would cause them having serious issue with pooing/peeing and afraid to do it.

☆★Successful tips★☆
First of all, you will have to know when exactly do your dog poo/pee. Normally it would happen after exercises, waking up or meals. 

Sometimes, you can discover from their reaction. For example, they would strart to become anxious, keep circling around or sniffing the floor. All the behaviours can be explained. The owner can always use newspaper to train your puppy to have a good clean manner.   


☆★How?★☆
First of all, you can keep the puppy in a room which would be easier for you to clean up. And don’t forget to lay on some newspapers all over the floor first.
After a little while you will find out your puppy has a spot that he/she prefer to poo/pee. Then you could start to remove the rest of the newspaper from the floor.然後，你可逐漸將報紙移動到門口，最後放在門邊。

【select a collar】

Normally when you start to train a dog you would use a collar or a belt. However, which sort of collar is the best for a dog?

Most of dog collars are made by leather. But somehow you could see some nylon or chain collars at the market by chances.
For most breeds of dogs, 1.2 cm is the best choice for them.

But for bigger size of breeds of dogs you will have to choose a collar up to 2.5cm – 4cm.
although, tighten a collar can assist your training but it could hurt a young puppy’s neck by accident.

 
When you are putting on a collar to your dog, please do not fasten the collar too tightly for safety purpose. The best is to make sure there is some space left for a couple of your fingers.

At the same time, you can check if there is any foreign matter on the collar. This act will keep your dog from danger.

Last but not least, don’t forget to put on a name tag to your dog collar.

【The right leash】

Most pet shops would sell leash for dogs. Normally the leashes are made by rope, leather, chain or nylon.  Customer can select a belt that meets your needs.
That said, it would also depend on the size of your dog.
For bigger size of dog, you will have to choose a stronger leather leash with a handle is always better.

※Nylon material of leash can be lighter and more portable.※

If you tend to train your dog, you will have to let him/ her use to the collar and leash. Meanwhile, the owner will have to find a comfortable leash easy for you to grasp the handle, in order to control your dog properly.

We recommend you a retractable leash that can be extended to 4.5-6 M.
With this a retractable leash you can easily control your dog to stay command.

【Treat and punishment】

When you are training a dog, you will need to build up a good relationship with the dog during the training.
In order to please your dog, normally we would use treats to encourage the dog.  e.g. small amount of snack.
However, if the dog cant stay command you will not give him/her any good respond. This will build up its obedience.

Sometimes dog’s daddy and mommy might punish their dog when the dog makes mistakes. But based on your training purpose, the punishment you give the dog will not work as you planed. Some dogs might just keep a distance from you. 

If you want to give your dog a punishment you can choose something more subtle. e.g. rise your voice or give them a little pat. These all can help the dog understand you are not happy about what he/she has done.

【stay with me】

Some dog owners would like to train their dog to stay right behind with them while walking. The best timing for this would be when the puppy is 12-14 week old.

Not many dogs would like this kind of 3-months training and younger puppies have no bad behaviours in general.

　
☆★Training★☆
for a puppy you can give it maximum 10 minutes of training. And 20 minutes for an adult dog. After 20 minutes a dog will start to loss its interest.
The first several times of training, you can only give maximum 5 minutes of training. During the 5 minutes you can help your dog to remove the anxiety from its mind.

Alternatively, if you are using a leash you can shorter the length and insist he/she can only staying next to you.
　　
☆★4 NO★☆
1.Do not stop to talk to someone during the walk.
2.Do not let your sniff around a telegraph pole.

3.Do not try to avoid other dogs during the walk. Your dog will assume the others are enemies.
4.Do not bring your dog to somewhere full of people.

【sit and do not move】

Find a quiet place and put your left hand on the back of dog. Then you raise your hand with certain force toward the dog with your order. After a little while, you will be able to remove the leash.  

After successfully trained your dog, you can train him/her not to move. This act can go with sit order. 

When your dog stars to follow your order to sit down you can also use a leash to control his/her movement with certain amount of strength.
He/she would eventually interpret your order to the action. After all you will be able to loss the leash. 

Within a certain period of time, you would see that your dog will not move a inch even you are far away from him/her. That means he/she has trust you completely.  Don’t forget to give your behaved dog a small treat.

【Lie down】

First of all, you will let your dog know what is lying down.

Let him/her sit down and start to move the front legs of your dog.

Of course you can use your voice as well to train the dog. 

When your dog keeps the position well, you can give some compliments to bring the message that he/she is doing well.
　

【Manners】

For manner training for a dog the owner will have to conduct the training at the early stage, when the puppy is around 2-3 month old. The owner will have to be patient and gradually introduce the puppy a whole new environment and rule.

Except pooing and peeing are the manners you will have to train your puppy when he/she first arrived. 

☆★No good , Good!★☆
Above two short sentences are the basic domestic dog training.
When you say no (no good!) to your puppy you can accompany with your body language. In the opposite, when your puppy did the right move don’t forget to give him/her some necessary compliments afterward.


☆★condemn and compliment★☆
Please note, when your puppy does something disapproval the best for the dog owner to do is to condemn the puppy right after. Do not hesitate and wait for any longer.  Same to when the puppy does something good, you as the dog owner will have to compliment him/her as much as you could. As a puppy is like a child the more positive compliments she/he gets, the more she/he is willing to do.

☆★Tips★☆
As we have mentioned above a dog will want to poo when she/he just waking up, drinking water and playing around etc. As the dog owner you will have to pay attention to it. After all you will know when you will need to bring your dog to the right place to poo or pee.

What if my dog is trying to sniff around the poo?

You can push her/his nose lightly accompany with” No good! No!”.

The best for you to do is to remove the smell right after to avoid the dog coming back to the spot.
 

☆★Comfortable potty★☆
A Dog potty can be replaced by a kitchen tray. You will only have to lay a layer of plastic paper and several newspapers.  Every time after your dog poo or pee you can remove some layers of the newspapers you left. Please remember to leave some smell newspapers that will help your dog to be able to track down and know where exactly she/he should go for poo/pee next time.  

Or alternatively, replace a potty by your bathroom/shower room can convenient you to clean up afterward. All you need is to wash up with water and anti-bacteria to keep your bathroom/ shower room clean and hygiene. 

☆★dominate behaviours★☆
Some times a dog would use its pee to announce that spot is belonging to itself. When you as the owner of the dog having this kind of behaviour, you will have to stop her/ him from doing the same thing.
 
☆★Rules and routine★☆
Training your dog to obey your feeding / eating rule is your top priority.

Dogs like to eat but how to ask them to have a good manner of eating is important.

-Same time, same place with a same feeding bowl.-
After a certain period of time, she/ he (the dog) would know the routine and unlikely to pick up food randomly on the street or from a stranger.  


☆★Wait★☆
Before letting your dog have its meal. 

You can ask your dog to sit and wait for its meal.

Firstly, you can put its bowl down the floor and if your dog trying to approach its bowl for food. You can stop your dog, say ‘ Wait’.  If your dog just can’t wait to eat and not listening to you. You can take its bowl away and start all over again.  

From time to time your dog will catch your request and wait until you say ‘ OK!’ (you can have your meal now).


☆★Not concentrating★☆

If your dog intends to play while it is having a meal, you can bring your dog back to the position for finishing its food. Meanwhile you can stay next to the dog and watch she/he finishing up the food.

☆★Like to Bite★☆
Dogs like to bite its one of their natural behaviour. Once your dog bits something inappropriate you can stop it and say “No” firmly. You may throw something to replace the inappropriate thing.

☆★Want to Play ★☆
This is one of dogs instinct. But this could be risky for the families have children.
Once you have discovered this behaviour, as the dog owner you will have to stop your dog from insisting to playing around.

☆★Fall forward★☆
When dogs are getting excited they normally would rush to you. You can train your dog listen to your order ‘Sit’.

 
☆★Physical Punishment ★☆
Even though we call it physical punishment, but you can only give your dog a pat very lightly or raise your voice or sometimes pat on the nose might work.   As a dog’s nose has sensory nerve. Just a pat would be enough. But please note physical punishment is not the only solution.

☆★Fight back★☆
Some dogs might fight back when they feel threaten by you.

Normally they would use growling or biting to against the person who is trying to punish or raise the voice.  

Remember you are the leader/owner you have to make your dog realizes that.

You are in charge! An adequate punishment is necessary. 

Remember more compliments less punishments is the best way for both of you!
